Gift of Salvation
The Free Gift of Salvation
The best gift that has ever been given is the gift of eternal life, and it’s yours free for the asking. The Bible says “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” - Romans 3:23. That word all means each and everyone. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” -Romans 6:23. That word death is referring to eternal death, or eternity in Hell. However, Christ died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, so that we wouldn’t have to. “But God commendth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” -Romans 5:8. All we have to do is accept His gift of salvation, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” -Romans 10:9-10. All we have to do is ask and he will give it to us, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” -Romans 10:13. The word whosoever means anyone, it is open to everyone. God sent His only Son to this world to die for our sins so that we could go to Heaven instead of Hell. Wouldn’t you rather go to heaven? If you would you can ask Jesus to save you from your sins by praying a simple prayer like - Jesus thank you for sending your son to die on the cross for my sins, please save me.
